since it was founded in 1895, Burcklé has always aimed at developing high
quality products and discovering innovative solutions that will improve weaving
processes in partnership with our customers (both OEMs and weavers). For example,
in the 1990s, Burcklé developed MA33 stainless steel grade (improved AISI 420) together with fiber
glass weavers and a steel manufacturer in order to considerably improve abrasion
resistance and the lifespan of reeds.
In 2000, Burcklé and Sülzer together developed
a special reed for the M8300 loom (multi-phase weaving). It consisted of twelve
reeds that are mounted on a rotating drum and enable an insertion up to 5,000
At present, Burcklé is working in close cooperation with R&D and technical
teams from various textile weavers and OEMs in order to deliver high
performance weaving accessories that are suitable for demanding weaving
machines which work at a faster speed, close to 100% efficiency and ensure a
better fabric quality!
