The weaving of heavy technical fabrics such as felts, synthetic wire mesh screens for the paper industry (PMC), tire cord or multiple layer fabric for conveyor belts requires a heavy duty harness frame that is capable of supporting high beat-up loads. In February 1984, Steel Heddle introduced a high strength design for this type of application. In 2011, Burcklé took over this production in France and to this day continues to supply the major heavy loom manufacturers and international PMC weavers.
They are delivered in 10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm, 16 mm, 20 mm and 24 mm pitches. They can be produced from one up to six sections. The longest frame produced to date measured a total of 31.10 m in length!
As an option, frames can be delivered with heddle counting and mounting. Various spare parts such as center braces, nose guides, end braces, lifting brackets, inserts etc. can be delivered for your existing frames. Burcklé continues to develop new spare parts in order to constantly improve the quality of the harness frames.
